Pharmacy Trends in Workers’ Compensation

Payers continue to face numerous challenges when managing pharmacy care in workers’ compensation. While opioids continue to represent a decreasing portion of overall prescriptions and costs, other retail and mail order medications have seen fluctuations with certain classes seeing double-digit cost increases. Additional cost drivers include physician dispensing of high dollar topicals and rising migraine medication utilization.

Opioids, emerging drug classes, varied dispensing channels, and high-impact pharmaceuticals all require new levels of analysis and understanding. Join us as we wrap up our annual drug trends series and hear our experts share more insights into the latest workers' comp drug trends including:

  • The complete view of in- and out-of-network pharmacy trends
  • A deeper perspective on the top pharmacy trends
  • How to best equip your pharmacy program for success
