Post-Covid Conundrum

More than 30 million Americans have contracted and survived the COVID-19 virus. While many thought they had weathered the worst of the pandemic when their symptoms abated, researchers claim as many as one-third of this group continue to experience long-term symptoms since onset, despite the severity of their initial diagnosis. The uncertainty of long-haul COVID is leaving many workers’ comp professionals puzzled about the virus’s current and long-term effects on the industry.
