Common Foot & Ankle Injuries in the Workplace
Event Details
Foot and ankle injuries are common in workers’ compensation claims. It is important for adjusters and claims professionals to be familiar with foot and ankle anatomy and foot types so they will understand the medical terminology in these injury claims. Adjusters need to understand the common work-related injuries and what to look for during the claims handling process. This course will review the common sources of foot and ankle injury. The instructor will discuss common foot and ankle injuries and show examples through the use of x-rays from case studies. A thorough review of treatment options and basic anatomy will assist the learner in making referral decisions in their WC and healthcare-related position.

For states that do not require prior approval, the adjuster is responsible for submitting their attendance certificate to the appropriate state agency to determine if continuing education credits can be applied.
